Our guide Carlos picked us up in his private car. He was fun to be with and an extra was that he is a history professor!! He was very flexible giving us choices about where to go and how long to stay at the various points of interest 5 stars!!!!!

This entire experience was wonderful! Monique contacted me regarding a morning pickup, Carlos picked me up at my Airbnb, and we spent a wonderful day exploring Furnas and the area. As other reviewers have noted, Carlos is incredibly knowledgeable; he is also very giving of his time and patience. We visited several places where he encouraged me to take my time exploring and was very clear about where to meet him when I was done. I didn’t feel rushed and I saw so much. This tour is absolutely a must-do!

Carlos was a great guide who was very knowledgeable and passionate about the island. He was willing to do whatever we wanted and had good suggestions along the ways He was very patient with our small children, even playing tag with our three year old. It was a perfect day.
