Walking distance from our cabin! The trail is 4.8 miles RT; max elevation change 1020 feet; Difficulty level - intermediate Note: The trail is located off Upper Dam Road, and is about a 5 minute walk from our cabin.

Head out on this 5 mile out-and-back trail near Wilmington. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 hours to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and trail running.

Haystack Mountain Trail is a 5 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Wilmington, Vermont that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

About 1.5 Hours \ 2 miles hike steady incline one way in the woods. Very nice view at the top. The trail is nice but get crowded very quickly.
