Low-key but fashionable haunt in the heart of the Arts District. Big red booths. Consistently excellent music selection. Popular with students from nearby Maine College of Art (MECA).

If you want a funky bar filled with locals, look no further than downtown lounge. They have one of the best happy hours in town, 5-7 everyday, with $3 drinks and $10 pitchers.
