Take a half day - away from the coast - to explore the beautiful interior and empty spaces of the Algarve. We go from the historic town of Silves up to one of the summits of the Monchique hills and return by a different route. We use a classic Portuguese jeep (the "UMM") to explore little paths and stay mainly on dirt roads. Some parts of the ride are gentle but other parts are steep so your experience will be exciting as well as beautiful. We will stop at a few hidden spots to enjoy the surroundings (or have a short walk if you want). We will pass close to some natural springs and also the hanging pedestrian bridge of Alferce. We choose the second highest summit of the Monchique hills - called "Picota" - because it is the most beautiful and untouched. It is a wonderful place to relax and admire the views. If you want you can bring a picnic to eat here, or somewhere else, as there will be many lovely places to have a break. This experience is the fruit of much exploration. The path we follow is an original route chosen for the variety and and interest of the landscape. It will be an active day outside full of fun and discovery.

The experience begins downtown Ponta do Sol, near the beach and supermarket where you can buy your last snacks and drinks for the journey. The first hour we will go upstream Ponta do Sol river, that will take us to a "levada" walk, where we will find a hidden waterfall. In the second hour we go up the mountain to do the sheperd's tour and be delighted with wonderful landscapes, wildlife and pure Nature. The third hour will be spent on preparing traditional food and drinks for a gastronomic experience, in a old sheperds shelter. The last 3 hours of the tour will be spent mostly in the Laurisilva endemic forest, in the north side of the island, which will take you to to the heart of the island and it's origins. For the end of this experience, I will take you back to the south coast for an amazing sunset. Other things to note Be prepared for adventure and some adrenaline. I'm going to be telling some stories about these landscapes and ecological value, the way older generations built these roads and water channels.

In this tour, that lasts from 3 to 4 hours, we will follow the footsteps of the shepherd and his herd, looking for the greenest pastures. Be part of the shepherd's work day, listen to his stories and enter in communion with nature - smell, hear, feel and taste. At the end of the hiking activity, upon arriving at the pasture, we will share with him a small meal. The money we earn with the experience is not only to pay our work, insurance and the meal, but it is also shared with the shepherd. We live in a unique community and territory and we want to give back to it at least as much as we receive. Everything can be adapted and customized according to your wishes. IMPORTANT: Depending on the weather conditions, the shepherd's convenience, the particular characteristics of the herding activity and the ability of the group, we can follow a different plan / schedule or cancel the event. We are going to hike Pico mountain! Conquer the highest point of Portugal as well as the third highest point of the Mid Atlantic Ridge. Let the magnificent view on top of the mountain make you feel reborn. We will start our adventure at the first signs of day light to reach the top around midday. After a lunch in the crater with a view to make all of us silent, we will start the descent. During the hike I will give you more information about the geological formations, about the formation of the island and the vegetation we see. No matter what the view will be on top, if it is now a clear sky or clouds, I can assure you that you will experience one of the best moments in your life when you put your hands on the very top of the mountain.

Upon arrival all guests will head straight into the stables to meet our horses, so we can start a 10 min Pre ride in the arena to make sure every guest is paired with the perfect horse before heading out. We will start our forest ride by heading straight out the farm gate and into beautiful pine and eucalyptus forest for a hour.

Visit a pioneer farm in the production of organic milk in the Azores, where animal welfare is a priority. You can manually milk one of the happy cows and taste the milk accompanied by traditional cookies. Direct contact with cows, and interaction with the farmer. Organic milk farm, where milking is carried out in its traditional format, outdoors in the pasture with a total guarantee of animal welfare. Contact with the animals is an option, where it is possible to pet the cows and take pictures with them, as well as walk through the pastures. Interaction with the farmer who explains the details of his activity. Visit the milk collection station, where the milk is temporarily stored before going to the factory. Includes tasting of Azores cheese and wine (tea and juice available) in a private house. A tour along the agricultural paths is included, allowing you to enjoy beautiful rural landscapes and the view of the Ramo Grande plain and bay of Praia da Vitória. As passioned for Lisbon, we want to show you the city as we see it, so you can get to know the secrets and customs of the Lisbon people and conquer our 7 Hills. A tuk tuk is an open air, very small and special vehicle that allow us to go through all the narrow streets of the old part of the town. We will go through them in an easy, very fun and adventurous way to go up the big hills of Lisbon. The ride we provide in this experience takes place through the woods and along the coastline of João Darens, called by many "the last green spot where the woods kiss the ocean". Two easy steps to enjoy this experience : we will send you the coordenates when you book the experience and we will meet you there with the horses, ready to go! Other things to note: I am a horse lover therefore I have an animal friendly policy, my horses don't use any metal bits on their mouths, unless they are still in training, only work two hours a day five days a week and my guests must be under 90kg. No experience with horses is required as no trots or canters are involved in this scenic ride.

After finding out what's your goal for the experience and your level of surf (could be beginner), we'll get the equipment and jump to the beach. According with it, we can have a longer or shorter briefing about the spot's conditions, safety rules, etiquette and instructions to catch your very first wave or improve your existing surf. The duration of the surf session will be 1:30Hs (in the water) plus one hour for preparations and debriefing of the session. You'll be my priority for this 2:30 hours and my goal is your happiness!
