The Guesthouse, attached to our family home has many unique architectural features. Ply panelling, salvaged timbers and a mud brick feature wall.
The bedroom is minimally decorated, designed with calmness in mind.
The bathroom and small kitchenette with hand crafted timber features, opens out to an al fresco cooking area with a private deck overlooking the paddocks and rambling bushland.
Somewhere to reflect, listen to the birds and whisper gently to the horses.
Come and stay, it's quiet here.

The Guesthouse and our adjoining home is built on what is colloquially known as The Eight Acre Paddock. Surrounded forty acres of rambling paddocks and bushland.

The Guesthouse is both private yet well-connected to your host should you require any assistance throughout your stay.

Your carefully chosen breakfast goods are locally sourced (where possible). We provide Tom’s Paddock free range eggs Wild Crust sourdough, loose leaf Monista tea and With One Bean ground coffee.

The beautifully appointed ply panelled and bamboo floored bedroom - with a queen sized bed, a convertible day-bed, European panel heating & an air-conditioner - is a quiet space.
**Please note, the bedroom and the kitchenette both open out to the deck and are joined only by the covered area. Going from the bedroom to the bathroom for example, means you will be stepping out to the deck, walk 2 metres to the kitchenette and through to the bathroom, as there are no connecting doors.

The Guesthouse has a small kitchenette, refrigerator, coffee pod machine, microwave, a modern gas BBQ (out on the deck) an electric plug in hotplate (out on the deck), toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery, in addition to a washing machine if required.

We are situated within a National Park and many walking trails are at our doorstep. There is a pub within a 10 minute drive up the road, however, if you're happy to drive a little further, you will find countless award winning restaurants and wineries within the surrounding Yarra Valley. I recommend Meletos in Coldstream, Tarrawarra in Healesville and A Boy Named Sue in St Andrews.
Walking and cycling tracks are located throughout the National Park adjacent to our property.
Yering, Coldstream, Healesville, Yarra Glen, Yea and Toolangi are all within a 30 minute beautiful country drive of Glenburn.

I am an Auslan/English Interpreter & Translator. My husband John is an award winning builder with over 25 years experience creating extraordinary homes and spaces all over Melbourne and Victoria.
Despite being a city dweller (Melbourne, London) for most of my life, my move to Glenburn only a few years back was a wonderful life change. We lead hectic lives travelling back and forth from Melbourne for school (for our 3 children), work and Uni etc so to come home to 40 acres of beautiful lush bush land is an absolute joy. We are a well travelled family also with many stories from our trips abroad to share and just as many stories to share of our country life here in Glenburn. The gardens, infrastructure and some aspects of the building were destroyed in the Black Saturday fires so we spend as much time as we possibly can re-building what was lost and re-establishing the surrounding gardens (despite both of us lacking green thumbs).
The sunsets and sunrises are gorgeous as are the walks within the National Park. Our neighbours are the local wine maker Philip Lobley Wines and sourdough bread maker Wild Crust Bakery - what else could we possibly need.
It is my aim that each of our guests experience a quiet stay to breathe and recalibrate from their busy lives. We love it here and we hope you do too.
