Our much loved holiday home on Loch Tay is set in Scotland's most spectacular scenery, sited on the Heart 200 Road Trip through Perthshire. We are lucky to have a private shore, where you can sit amidst the rocks and trees, make a campfire or paddle in the loch . Rock Cottage's lounge with log burning stove is an ideal place to return to after taking part in outdoor sporting activities. Our grounds offer play, picnic and water areas. It is a great place to read or relax and watch the wildlife.

A RURAL RETREAT IN HIGHLAND SCOTLAND:
We are pleased to offer visitors the use of our much loved holiday home on Loch Tay. Only 90 minutes from Edinburgh - 120 minutes from Glasgow & set in some of Scotland's most attractive scenery, Rock Cottage enjoys c.1 acre of private grounds, including private shore and spectacular views of Loch Tay & the surrounding hills. Guests are free to roam from the paddock ( which we may use if we have a meeting in the village) adjacent to the top gate right down to the shore. We have marked our shore with two wooden posts between which guests may feel free to enjoy the natural environment. It is permissible to fish for anything in season except salmon and to swim in the fresh water Loch. If guests choose to make a campfire we ask them to ensure it is put out safely before leaving the shore.

There is plenty to see and do in the area. We have left a note of some points of interest and a brief homemade guide book in the cottage e.g.
Walking - There are plenty of walks from the cottage , others a short drive way eg. Ben Lawers, Schiehallion and the Birks O Aberfeldy
A full range of water and mountain sports within a few miles
Cycling, canyoning, rafting, horse riding , Informative Loch Cruise with Loch Tay Safari, landrover safari at Highland Safari, archery ,quad biking and fishing

Kenmore Crannog -Reconstructed Iron Age settlement
Fortingall Yew Tree - Birthplace of Pontius Pilot
Pitlochry Theatre, Aberfeldy Birks Cinema
House of Bruar county shopping centre with beautiful waterfall walk behind
Adventurous cyclists may enjoy the train journey across Rannoch Moor to Corrour Station, cycle around Loch Ossian and back to Rannoch Station.

We value our time relaxing with friends and family. We have fun times at Rock Cottage entertaining, walking and cycling. Our family love water sports; canoeing, sailing and swimming in the loch.

ON ARRIVAL:
Our key is available on arrival. We hope to welcome you in person during the first day to ensure you have settled in comfortably and answer any questions you have about our home ( restrictions permitting). If you make a last minute booking, we may ask you to press the hot water button to boost (high up above the heating programmer) and the heating programmer to on. Once the cottage is to temperature please turn both water & heating settings to twice.
