Welcome to Paradise Shores, we're happy you found us! Here at PS, we believe in reconnecting people to the simple pleasures of life in a no-frills, peaceful, camp like setting.
The Blu House sleeps five and features private hot tub, fireplace, large screen projector with home theater and tons of character. This mobile home offers lake access and incredible serenity, especially wintertime. We hope you'll find yourself and adventure in our piece of paradise.

Sehemu
We're a husband & wife team and this is our adopted home - a small RV Park & Campground located directly on the shores of Bridgeport Reservoir.

We believe in campfires, starry nights, good laughs, exploration, a deep sleep and an early rise. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. So turn off your phone and turn on your senses. When you arrive we won’t hand you a list of rules but we may ask you to join us for a campfire, remind you to conserve water, and to separate your trash so we can recycle it. That’s about it, oh yeah: relax, it’s your vacation.

Note: Please read the entire listing description prior to booking.

THE BLU HOUSE:
Welcome to the Blu House, so named by our son Oliver! We have lived and loved it here for eight years. If you look closely, you’ll find signs of a family growing up in this home; the marks of Oliver’s heights etched on the door frame; pictures moved up and down leaving the tell tale nail holes. And then there are the birds chirping, the snow-capped mountains, the magnificent sunrises and sunsets over the reservoir, and unspeakable beauty of this country we fell in love with. It never gets old here but we hope to be here when we get old. We open our home to you and hope you love it as much as we do.

The Blu House sleeps five and is a perfect fit for a family or group of friends who know each other well and are pretty comfortable together.
The master bedroom comes with super comfy queen size bed and en suite full bathroom with shower. The second bedroom has adult size queen over queen bunk beds. There's also a second bathroom with sink and toilet across the hallway from the master bedroom. Please note that both, master bedroom and its bathroom, have curtains instead of door to maximize on the space, we hope you will be comfortable with this setup and will embrace it.

A private hot tub, full size farmhouse sink, wood burning stove (one bundle of wood provided) and large screen projector with home theater (DVDs provided) are just a few of our favorite features.

You can't beat the serenity of this place, especially in the winter. The house and pretty much the whole area is just incredibly peaceful between November and March and it's a perfect destination to experience the winter magic, be still and see into the heart of the universe (stargazing is off the charts here!), and get away from the city hustle and bustle.

French door fridge, microwave, coffee maker and toaster are also part of the rental. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, cookware, glasses, cups, plates, paper towels, soap, and all the typical kitchenware. The "oh so cozy" down comforters, cotton sheets, bath towels, and dish towels are all provided. You're welcome to use our washer/dryer and the dishwasher (we provide detergents).

This mobile home has a WiFi, cooling system, and an outside seating area with ultra cool hot tub and barbecue. We also provide charcoal briquettes, to get you set up for your grilling and outdoor entertaining. So, all you really need to bring is some clothing and food. Pretty much everything else is covered.

Our rate includes space rent, propane, wifi, a parking spot as well as 12% Mono County occupancy tax (TOT). We can accommodate extra vehicle/s for a fee; please message us if you need the additional parking space at the time of requesting the booking. Free extra parking available between November and March.

It's important to us that our guests don't feel they are renting a house as much as they're immersing themselves into the outdoor experience. You may just want to lay in one of our hammocks and read for three days. For the more adventurous, there's a full slate of self-guided recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards, bird watching, campfires & s'mores. We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet, however, we encourage our guests to “unplug" and immerse in the slower paced life instead.

We constantly improve and update the decor in our rentals in effort to make your stay more pleasant and memorable. We hope you enjoy and appreciate some changes and finishing touches that may not have been captured in the photo gallery above.

Ufikiaji wa mgeni
You will have access to the entire house. When our camp is open (late April through mid-October) you are welcome to hang out at our various common areas with fireplaces and barbecues, which we tend to improve every year. In the fall/winter, you can enjoy the serenity of this place as you will be our only guests on the property. We have couple of kayaks, SUP and paddle boat you can use for free on the reservoir in the mid-spring through early fall and for your winter fun, there's June Mountain ski area 45 minutes drive away and Mammoth Mountain ski area an hour drive away from here. Closer to the house, you can venture into Virginia Lakes area overlooking Mono Lake to ski or snowshoe there and end your daily adventures soaking in the unique Travertine Hot Springs located just 10 minutes from here.

***COVID-19 INFO***

Warm greetings to you from our piece of paradise! Spring is here, flowers are out, birds are chirping and we have been working hard to ensure our camp is ready for the 2020 season. This is a new reality we are all getting used to, please be kind and mindful while at the camp and adventuring in the area, respecting other’s space and maintaining the safe distance. We are unsure what official COVID-19 guidelines may be at the time of your visit but we will just mirror them. Things have, and still may change daily. Please be flexible, we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

We are assessing the COVID-19 situation daily and are prepared to adapt as needed. We understand the concerns around the virus and would like to share with you the steps we are taking to ensure a safe, relaxing environment for all our guests and staff:

Please note, to ensure that social distancing guidelines are followed, our restrooms are closed to guests staying in our rental campers this year and you're welcome to only use the private facilities in your rental. Our public restrooms are only available to guests staying in the Sierra Stream camper and at tent sites / camper vans without a bathroom.
Hand soaps, sanitizers, and disinfectants are available in all common areas for regular use.
The use of some of our amenities (such as laundry) will be limited or not available.
Some normally provided items that cannot be wiped down (such as aluminum foil) will be removed.
Our office has been temporarily relocated outside.
No need to check-in in person. Your welcome information, any latest updates, and check-in details will be emailed to you within a week prior to the arrival.

For everyone’s safety, we ask you to please:

Refrain from booking your stay if you’ve had exposure and message us to reschedule or cancel if you develop symptoms or test positive.
Please be respectful of the maximum occupancy in the rentals, as stated in the listing. Infants, children, and adults all count as one.
As per May 1st order, the use of facial coverings while in public in Mono County and interacting with people outside of your household is required, in effect through the end of the COVID-19 pandemic emergency declaration. Please come prepared. We will ask you to wear masks/face coverings when walking around the camp but not when at your rental.
Please keep at least a 6 foot distance from anyone that isn’t in your traveling party, including other guests and PS team members.
Consider getting all your supplies before coming to our community.

Now more than ever it is important to spend time connecting in the great outdoors. We are excited to welcome you, and are ready to share campfires, starry nights, and our serene area with you. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. It is a place where social distancing happens naturally. This is a great opportunity to be together in Nature and not to be isolated in our homes. Together (from a safe distance) we will remain healthy, positive, and strong!

Taxes, like death, are unavoidable. Our rates include 12% Transit Occupancy Tax (TOT) that is mandatory for any guests staying in Mono County for less than 31 days.

Please keep in mind that some of the mountain passes - Tioga Road (main road to Yosemite – HWY 120), Sonora Pass (HWY 108), and Monitor Pass (HWY 89) typically close in November and don’t open until May or later, depending on the snowpack. Also, some of the passes can be closed during stormy weather. This is especially true in the spring and fall. Plan accordingly and always check CalTrans info before traveling.

Our camp is located on the Bridgeport Reservoir and we cannot control nor guarantee the water level. The water level varies greatly, based on the snow pack and time of year. Typically, the lake’s edge will recede as the season progresses. So, if you are coming later in the season (late August onwards), you should expect the water level to be lower. With that said, the views and our sunsets are still breathtaking!

At Paradise Shores, we believe in protecting people, animals and the planet. We make sure that the majority of products we use at our camp is recycled, composted or re-used.

* We strive to reduce the amount of waste we generate and actively promote recycling of aluminum, plastic, glass, and cardboard. We pack our own recycling and haul it to the nearest recycling facility.
* We don’t use individually packaged toiletries or one-use products.
* Essential oils are used to clean our rentals.
* We use plant and planet friendly detergent.

We live in the desert. We share our precious water with the entire planet. With only 326 million cubic miles of water on the earth, the decreasing amounts of access to quality fresh water is alarming to us. We monitor how we use water in our day-to-day life and are constantly working on ways to reduce our consumption of fresh water.

* The water used to wash our linens and towels is recycled to irrigate the numerous gardens on our property.
* In all our rentals, we provide our guests with “plant friendly” cleaning products. By only using eco friendly products, we are able to use the kitchen and shower’s water to irrigate our gardens.

We hope you can help us maintain the greener camping!

Hi there! We're Alan and Veronika: husband and wife team, who would love to share our home with you. We love the Eastern Sierra and are eager to introduce this wonderful place to YOU! We welcome guests between late April and mid-October in the rental trailers and year round in our newly renovated Blu House. Our camp is conveniently situated close to many High Sierra attractions. This area is one of the most spectacular in the world and offers exceptional recreational activities. We are fortunate to be located on Bridgeport Reservoir, Ca. with its world famous fishing and water sports. The blue ribbon trout fishing of the East Walker River is just minutes away. Yosemite National Park, Tuolumne Meadows, Mono, June, Convict and Twin Lakes, as well as the historic gold-mining town of Bodie are all within a short drive from our camp. Water skiing, sailing, mountain biking, road biking, hiking, and of course world-class trout fishing, are all readily available right from the property. For the more adventurous, there's rock climbing, hiking, snowmobiling and year-round skiing in the backcountry. The possibilities are endless. Yosemite National Park, which occupies less than 10% of the Sierra Mountain Range, is only a small fraction of the adventures this spectacular area affords. The surrounding terrain offers endless activities and unbelievable scenery in remote wilderness settings. Do you enjoy bird watching? There are hundreds of different species right here at Paradise Shores, which is on a major bird migration route. The fish are plentiful here, the people are warm and friendly and the atmosphere is casual. So bring the whole family; with so many things to do, everyone is sure to have a memorable time. Please message us if you have any questions or would like more information, and start planning your Eastern Sierra adventure today! :-)
