I am a retired scientist, but I keep an interest in my work which was diabetes related research. My husband, who is Chilean and also a scientist, and I have travelled and worked in many parts of the world. We now live in Santiago, spend summers in Catrico, winters in California, USA, and in between travel locally and tend a small vinyard and make organic wine. My husband was injured some years ago and is now sevrely handicapped and uses a wheel chair, but I take him along on all my adventures and he seems to enjoy life still. I Iove horses and cooking and sewing and dying the yarn from our sheep with natural elements. We have many grandchildren, all very talented and beautiful of course and they often travel with us. A long time ago, when my older brother was in college dreaming of building a sailboat and going around the world in it, my sisters and I were determined to be on the crew. We designed a swinging bed in order to get used to the rolling of the boat at sea without getting sea-sick. We did crew on part of that journey and never got sea sick, and ever since have enjoyed sleeping in a swinging bed. The bed in the Horse-lover's apartment swings from the rafters, and we hope our guests will love sleeping in it also.
