Benedict Pond is a great place to swim. It's a beautiful drive getting there. The pond is located inside Beartown State Park but drive through Stockbridge for a better ride as the Lee entrance is a rough road.

There is a beach, pond and hiking trails. And you can paddle there. It is one of our favorite places as you can engage in several outdoor activities here. Also a relatively level hike so good for novices.
