Arriving at our central base in Newquay, you'll be welcomed by myself or one the team. After an introduction and a quick overview of your activity, it's time to jump into wetsuits and start getting kitted up for your experience. Once everyone is ready, we'll make the short walk to either of the Newquay's famous surfing beaches. We break the lesson down into two parts and explain everything you need to know in stages. Remember you don't need any previous experience and you'll have the support and guidance of your surf coach throughout the lesson. From explaining beach safety, how to manage your surfboard to catching waves, the first part of the lesson is designed to make you feel comfortable in the sea. After a quick break and recap on the beach, we'll cover some tips and techniques on how to 'pop up' and ride a wave back to the shore. The majority of our lessons take place from waist height in the surf so you don't need to be a strong swimmer. Just keen to give it go! Mosaic workshops in Torquay
Once you arrive at the hub I will show you which projects you can make (Coasters, boxes, flower pots, photo franes) Usually we manage 2 small mosaics or one larger one. Not everyone takes the same time. If you know you like to take your time being creative I would make sure you have not anything else booked immediately after. If you need to leave at 12.30, please let me know on the day. You will get complimentary tea or coffee. There is a large selection of different mosaic tiles and you are fee to choose your own creative design. Once you are happy with your design we will stick it on the base you chose and when it is complete I will grout the project for you. You can take it home on the day and leave the grout to dry over night. All you have to do is give it a final wipe with a wet cloth in the morning. All projects are individual and it is lovely how many different designs there are. The main aim is to switch off from everything else and just have a good time being creative. Other things to note... The experience is suitable for ages 5+ The tiles are precut or I cut them for you. I am happy to help with anything and the workshop is very flexible. I look forward to welcoming you.

Horse & Carriage Experience in North Devon
Come and meet our draught horses, Albert, George, Joey, and Bella and take an immersive trip back in time to a calmer, slower age, while learning a little about the glory of working horses at our traditional horse powered farm. We start in the horse barn & encourage guests to interact with our wonderful horses, but if you prefer you can watch from a distance. Learn a little about the horses and their harness before we hitch up & climb aboard the carriage to begin your trip back in time through the peaceful countryside surrounding our farm. For two guests we use one horse, but for more than two we use a pair of horses to ensure that the load is an easy one. The welfare of our horses is very important to us & we are proud of their turnout & condition. Our carriage is comfortable but open to the elements so it can be cold, make sure you bring warm, weatherproof clothing. You are welcome to take photographs at any time during the experience. Out on the ride I will normally share some local farming practices, history, & give you some insights into our way of life, but if you want peace & quiet we can do that to! We can often adjust timings & numbers to suit your party. Our hay wagon can accommodate up to 15 people in a private group. We hope you leave us with a real sense of the nobility our horses & of having travelled back in time in our horse powered time machine!
