You can travel anywhere on Nettles Island (or directly across A1A to the private beach) using the golf cart. The charger for the cart is under the home, but the charger itself should be left hanging on a screw on the access panel on the front of the house. We try to keep it off the ground so water doesn't pool in the plug. Charge it overnight and usually it should be good all day.

To use any of the amenities on the island, you'll want to have the red tags with you that have the lot number (298). Each adult should have a tag when going to the beach, pool, rec hall, etc. The tag is what you use to check out shuffleboard, ping pong, bocce, etc equipment from the rec hall.

Walk along the fence line to the golf course and across the street to get to the Rec Hall. Inside, you can play pool or ping pong or use the gym. There's also a snack bar/restaurant (breakfast/lunch) inside too. You can check out (using pink tags) equipment for all the fun stuff, like shuffleboard, horseshoes, etc. In the Rec Hall, you can also grab a bulletin that will give you a rundown of any events going on during your stay.

Attached to the back of the rec hall is a small library where you can check out books. It's open Mon-Fri from 9:30-11:30a and Wed from 6:30-7:30p.

There are two swimming pools: the Rec Hall and Ocean pools. Both have lounge chairs and tables. The Rec Hall pool also has two hot tubs. Rec Hall pool hours are 7a-10p; Ocean pool hours are 7a-8p (in the winter it'll close earlier). All kids 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at the pools.

Tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts are open from 7a-10p. These are all right across the street within site from the house.

The house only has one bathroom, which can make it difficult if a whole family is trying to get ready to go somewhere at once. Fear not... there are numerous bathhouses on the island that are availably 24/7. The closest (Bathhouse 9) is just east of the property. Turn right out the driveway, straight through the intersection, then take your first left. The bathhouse is on the right. You'll need the bathhouse key (on dining room table). The Rec Hall also has showers available, down the stairs from the pool entrance.

Trash pickup occurs on Tues and Fri. Trash goes in the 298 bin next to driveway. If you have extra, you can set it next to bin on the day of pickup, but please don't leave it outside of the bin overnight. Recycling is located just west of the condo office, near the front of the Nettles Island complex, and is available Mon/Fri 9-11a and Sun 3-5p.

When you walk in the front door, there's a light switch on the wall to your right. The first of the two switches controls the living room fan and should be left on (up) all the time. The fan (and light) are controlled by the remote. The light brightness is controlled by pressing and holding the light button on the remote.

If you're having a guest come visit or calling for delivery, you have to call the security gate to let them in. Call 772-229-0988 and let them know who is coming in. As a reminder, you're at Lot 298 (298 Nettles Blvd).
