Here is a list of activities located within 30 minutes of the house.
Feracare Wildlife Centre (aka De Wildt Cheetah Santuary) is a recently founded organisation, it stands for the care of all wild creatures and lives up to its name by providing a safe haven to all animals on its property.
Offering Cheetah Runs (8AM):
Witness the “get up and go” (0 to 100KPH in 3 seconds) and turning ability as they chase a lure. Get a chance to take pictures and admire how these cats use every part of their body to maintain this high speed chasing game and try to outsmart our lure.
And Feeding Tours (10AM & 2PM):
Sit back in our tour truck and relax while we drive you through the African wild dogs and cheetah camps and feed them a few metres away from the vehicle. See the rare king cheetah up close. View the vultures camps – white backed, Cape Griffin and lappet faced – as well as caracal, and African wild cat. If you are in luck, you can catch a glimpse of zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, blesbok, impala, red hartebeest, and plenty more while driving from camp to camp.

Four tees are on offer for your preference with the longest one measuring 6829m. Peter went of his way to ensure the lands natural contours were followed and the result is a seamlessly integrated bushveld course that is second to none.
Zebula’s excellent practice facilities include:
A large 18-hole putting green,
Chipping area with practice bunker
5 Hole Mashie Course
A distance marked driving range with five target greens to aim for.

The Zebula Golf Course is located in a basin of the most pristine African bushveld. Surrounded by game lodges, nature and wildlife reserves, Zebula certainly boasts one of the best locations for a bushveld course. Zebula is the only 5 Star golfing resort in South Africa.

Nestled between Bela Bela and Modimolle in the Waterberg, Thaba Kwena was founded more than 25 years ago. Today the Farm is one of the largest crocodile farms in South Africa.
Thaba Kwena Crocodile Farm offers our guest’s fully guided tours. Our knowledgeable guides will entertain and amaze you with their knowledge.
A curio shop and cafe are also available.

Nestled between Bela Bela and Modimolle in the Waterberg, Thaba Kwena was founded more than 25 years ago. Today the Farm is one of the largest crocodile farms in South Africa.

Waterberg Zipline tour will take you on an unforgettable and adrenalin packed journey that offers the most beautiful nature scenes imaginable!!
Experience divine nature like never before! An abundance of plantlife, indigenous trees, 250 exquisite bird species and wide selection of flowers and wild animals.
The tour takes you on an exciting, 2 and a half hour adventure as you slide from one platform to the next, through the most beautiful waterberg mountains set amongst magnificent natural surroundings. The tour involves a zig zag ride.
Our professional, experienced guides will assure safety as well as interesting facts and an excellent knowledge regarding the area.

The Lesser Bush Baby
Chacma Baboon
Vervet Monkey
Silke and her incredible team of staff and volunteers concentrate mainly on Vervet monkey rehabilitation, taking in injured and orphaned monkeys, forming troops and finding monkey-friendly game farms to release a rehabilitated troop. To date they have successfully given 15 troops (over 300 monkeys), a second chance to live free again. As a persecuted species, these monkeys had lost their freedom due to habitat destruction, illegal shootings by farmers, snares, electrocutions, pet or Muti trade (Muti is the term for traditional medicine in Southern Africa).
Bambelela offers one and a half hour guided tours offering in-depth knowledge and first-hand experiences about hand-raising wild animals and primates. Some of the animals can be touched and there are great photo opportunities.
Orphaned and injured African animals are cared for with the aim of rehabilitating them back into the wild.
Tours are by appointment only.
Cost per adult is R100 and R50 for kids (under 4 years free).

Our biggest privilege is caring for our beautiful African elephants who were destined to be culled. Our latest additions,
Zambezi and Bela, were born to mothers Shan and Mussina and are our 6th and 7th family members.
We offer close up and personal encounters with our elephants carried out with cheerfullness and respect for the welfare of both our majestic residents and you our guest. Here you will learn all about our continent's gentle giants, their intelligence, their bodies, their behaviour. You will leave humbled and moved, and a lifetime ambassador of holistic wildlife conservation.
