I have been to Greece at least five times, and being a non meat eating person, I simply love Greek food. I also lived in Odessa and have eaten at most of if not all restaurants in this wonder Greek Village. Hand down this is my favorite. The Owner, cooks, waitresses are all Greek and you get the best Greek Food anywhere with friendly service. It's worth the 20 minute drive from Clear water in non busy season. Because they are not on the main street, you pay less. A visit to Tarpon Springs is a great day trip after you have too much sun or want to explore. I would give Mama FIVE STARS.

Its a good free hangout with drinks and food. Great in winter as it is indoor and outdoor. Tell Steve the owner you guests of Capt Al at Cottages of Clear water, you may get VIP treatment. If not , tell Capt.Al It's also a sports bar with massive TVs, too many if you ask me.

Its a Bar- Bar where you can smoke, drink and cuss. Definitely not recommended for single young persons. On the positive there is pool tables , darts and a lively crowd. Many of my guests from Cottages of Clear water love to stumble over to have a drink and check in out.

Famous Fort worth seeing. The drive along Gulf Blvd may be the best part driving through cute little beach towns. Take a drive around Pass a Grill for what Clearwater Beach used to look like. If you still got energy , got shopping at John's Pass. Capt.Al actually knew old man Hubbard who started the whole board walk with the Friendly Fisherman Restuarant.

One of the most beautiful natural parks in Florida. I take my guests by boat here and we enjoy the North End pass between Caladesi and Honey Moon Island. Simply a really beautiful beach and park. You can walk there, and I have done it many time in cooler months from Cottages of Clear water. About 1 hour walk and well worth it. I suggest you do it early in the morning, bring water, and flip flops as if the tide is high you will be in some shallow water.
Pier 60 is the hub of the Island, like Key West, at sunset we have all kinds of street performers and musicians to entertain for tips. A great place to take the kids with a very large playground. A must.

Built in 2019 this cute little Pier gives guests great views of the inter coastal waterways and bridge. Just a nice spot to walk around for peace and quiet. You can ride bikes through it and one day the Water Taxi will stop here. It is across the street from the Historic Landmark Blue Wave Motel and near the Chamber of Commerce.

Built in 2019 this cute little Pier gives guests great views of the inter coastal waterways and bridge. Just a nice spot to walk around for peace and quiet. You can ride bikes through it and one day the Water Taxi will stop here. It is across the street from the Historic Landmark Blue Wave Motel and near the Chamber of Commerce.
Everything Else
If your in Clearwater Beach you have to go to the Clearwater Aquarium with your young children. The history of this place is really amazing and immortalized in the movie The Dolphin Tale. I suggest it for children .

I like Surf Shops because cool people own them and work there. Leave your black leather jackets and boots at home, and just buy some cool surf gear, so when you get here you can look like a local. Very good advise, if you ask me.

I have recommended this fishing trip to many of guests at Cottages of Clear water. Most came back with more fish then they can eat. Lucky for me when they go home. He seems to know where the fishing holes are and my guests have been very with their experience.
