This unique custom home is reminiscent of a Spanish colonial hacienda with the guest rooms arranged around a central patio, each with a private entrance. The room offered is on the second floor and has a comfortable, queen-sized bed. It has private entrance, from the upstairs breezeway overlooking the patio and also has a 3/4-bath with shower and a walk-in closet. You will find peace and tranquility at this special place.

We are located in the beautiful California foothills on 25 acres, surrounded by ranches and other mountain home estates. At the end of the road, with no traffic nearby, we enjoy lots of peace and tranquility. We are a short, 46-mile drive from Yosemite Valley and only 12 miles from the town of Mariposa with various restaurants, shops and other attractions and services. Neighbors have requested that our guests drive slowly on our driveway to keep the dust at a minimum.

Retired couple enjoying life in the California foothills 46 mi. west of Yosemite Valley on 25 secluded acres. After considerable travel and living abroad, and as our interesting careers came to an end we designed and built this home we call Posada Mariana. We like to meet interesting people from other places and love to host for visitors who may be seeing this part of the world for the first time. We are also fluent in Spanish and our home is reminiscent of a colonial, Spanish hacienda. We enjoy gardening, cooking, bird-watching, and various kinds of music. Posada Mariana is conducive to people having plenty of their own space with ample privacy, peace and quiet.
