Barn cottage sits right in the centre of Youlgrave, minutes walk from a cafe, village shop and three great pubs. It's charming on the outside and lovely and comfortable inside. Beautiful aged beams meet new and modern furnishings, yet keeping all the charm of cottage living. Walks in abundance and splendid scenery on the doorstep. Chatsworth, Bakewell, and many towns and attractions all within a few miles. It really is the perfect base to explore the Peak District.

You will enter the cottage into the spacious kitchen with its bright quartz worktops and large dining table. It’s a very well stocked space with washing machine and dishwasher and brand new utensils and full range of cookware. Tea, coffee, sugar provided and a welcome gift for guests and doggies.
Then through to the good sized lounge which looks out through large windows onto Fountain Square. It’s cosy coal effect fire sits within a large stone fireplace with the 50 inch smart TV wall mounted above. ( Free wifi).
The open plan staircase leads to the main bedroom which boasts a super comfy king size bed with Emma mattress, wardrobe, drawers, dressing table, smart TV and full en suite shower room. Quality bed linen and towels provided. Blackout skylight blinds promote a restful sleep.
The double bedroom with a charming ‘ birds’ theme and comfort mattress has drawers, mirror and hanging space within the wardrobe on the landing. Again, a blackout skylight blind in place.
The large main bathroom situated next to the double bedroom has a bath and over bath shower.
The landing perfectly separates the bedrooms making it feel private for couples holidaying together.
Centrally heated throughout.
Immediately outdoors is your courtyard area with a table and four chairs. Beyond this is a shared courtyard with our lovely neighbours.

Youlgrave is a lovely friendly village with three pubs all serving food. Its a great spot for cycling, walking and relaxing. There’s even an open swim spot if you’re brave enough!

Hi. I’m Jackie. I’m married to Mark. I’ve been a nurse and have worked with teenagers in a school setting for 16 years. I have a love of the country, of walking and of dogs. I have an adorable Labrador called Ruby. I love holidays, nice food and time spent with friends and family.
We have wanted to renovate a cottage for some time. We love the unique look of barn cottage, it’s central position and all the walking paths and beautiful countryside that surround it in Youlgrave. With the renovation complete it’s time to relax and use the cottage ourselves and hire it for others to enjoy too!
