The Captains Retreat is ideally located on the Tallows Beach side of Byron Bay with direct access to Tallows Beach at the end of the road. It is the perfect escape from the hustle & bustle of the centre of town. Similarly if its the energy and vibe you are chasing, a short 5 min drive or a 15-20 minute walk lands you in the hub (approx 1.5km)
You will frequently wake to the melody of bird songs each morning including Kookaburras, Eastern Whipbirds & Wattlebirds.
A short walk to Tallows Beach offers a sensational vista of the expansive Eastern coastline. Or perhaps a short walk to Tallows Creek where all ages can swim amongst the schools of fish.
Check out some of Byrons best surf breaks at Clarkes Beach, The Pass or Wategos.
Many yoga studios and Heart Soul 24/7 Gym are all within a stones throw from the residence.
Similarly the iconic General Store & The Roadhouse Cafes are also within easy walking distance.
And if you don't feel like walking, we have bikes available on request.

Take a short drive into the hills and enjoy the many rivers, rainforest reserves and quaint townships of the Northern Rivers.
