Safe, spacious & private room for 2 w/ own entrance at the back of the house - lots of windows, double bed, private bath, mini-fridge, access to porch, deck & garden. No cooking allowed. There are 10 steps to climb onto the deck to get to personal entrance through porch. 1/3 mile walk to closest downtown Decatur shops & restaurants. Near Emory & CDC. So quiet-you can hear the owl's hoot at night in woods-porch perfect place for bird watching.

Our home in downtown Decatur is close to Emory University, Emory Hospital (EUH), Agnes Scott College, The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the VA hospital. There is a Keurig Coffee Maker in the room with free coffee and tea, as well as a gift of fresh fruit, Brita filtered water pitcher and a snack for your first night. Please bring your own water bottle to fill. The bathroom is recently renovated.

Our neighborhood is very friendly and people gladly practice safe, social distancing. It is full of early 20th century bungalows with lots of families and people walking their dogs. Within a 1/3 mile, you have access to Decatur's 1st set of Downtown restaurants. As you continue for another 2/3 mile you have access to more of Decatur's myriad restaurants, bars, shops, parks, churches and even a few night spots. The town is very lively from Thursday to Saturday nights! And it is safe, with many folks walking to and from our neighborhood to downtown.

There are two of us hosting - Terri & Rich. We are married and partners in life adventures. We have lived in Decatur since 1989 and renovated our house about 5 times & counting! We are deeply involved in making the City of Decatur a great place to live, play and work - and now that our only son is off to college and making a life of his own, we would like to share our home & garden with others. Both of us traveled the world before being married and like learning about new people and places first hand. Our sense is that hosting with Airbnb is another way to travel the world - but with people coming to us and sharing their life experiences. While we make your stay in Decatur an unique experience.
