Located on the island of Egholm, only 5 minutes by ferry from Aalborg city, it gives the perfect contrast between countryside and city.

The island of Egholm is an unspoiled green gem in the blue waters where the locals go for day trips to relax and unwind.

This listing is for one of our 27 sqm double bedrooms.

The country house is an old farm made up of four adjoining wings.

The main house, built in 1924, is in classic Danish country architecture. The adjoining old barn houses, rebuilt as hotel in 1993, houses the bigger double bedrooms and a dining room. The bedroom in this listing is located here.

The country house lies in the small picturesque village, with nature just two steps from the gate.

The space is located on an island, and a short ferry ride from Aalborg city is required to get there. The ticket is not included in the stay and need to be purchased on the Aalborg side. The hours the ferry operates varies as follows:
Monday thru Thursday: 0630 to 2300
Friday: 0630 to 0000
Saturday: 0730 to 0000
Sunday: 0900 to 2300

Please note that we cannot offer any other food besides breakfast.

There is a restaurant next to the ferry harbour on the island. Additionally, Aalborg offers plenty options as well.

Cold beverages, beer and wine is available for purchase at the country house. Just let us know and we'll help you.

The island lies next to Aalborg city and is approximately 6 sq. km. in size. About 40 people call this island their home.

The landscape is flat and reaches only 2 m as maximum height above sea level. To prevent flooding, dikes surround the island; Inside the dikes, nature is dominated by an agricultural landscape and forest. Outside the dikes, there are large beach meadows and beaches. This mix has created a rich birdlife, as well as home to plenty of roe deers and pheasants.

The island is also home to several threatened species, such as the pale-bellied brant goose, natterjack toad and the harsh downy rose.
