You will have internet TV and a VCR. Free wifi and internet cellphone calling. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and everything you will need to prepare meals indoors on a 2 burner stove, and toaster oven and microwave oven. Beds are made and linens and pillows for sofa sleepers are provided, as well as towels and wash clothes.

Outdoors is a propane grill and wood burning grill. The Loft has a nice size refrigerator, but only ice trays. There is A/C and heat. And fortunately, the setting sun is behind the Loft so the outdoor patio is nicely shaded in the evening.

Although the Owners' house is nextdoor, the Owners live in Dallas and may or may not be present at the time of your stay, but they will respect your privacy. They have two big but very well behaved dogs that may be out and about at times but will not be allowed to get in your way. Everything is designed to provide you with a peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable stay and add the years back onto your life that city life strips away.

The Frio Ceilo Ranch was an old Ranch that was subdivided into a Home Owners' Association in the 1970's. It has a neighborhood park and pavilion area, river access, and a community mountain with hiking trails. The river is available to all guests.

Garner State Park is about 4 miles due east, as the crow files. Otherwise, it is a 24 mile drive. Concan is about 17 miles away and has many options for Frio River floating rentals. Leakey, Texas is north about 34 miles on HWY 83 with shopping available. Uvalde is the closest town about 33 miles south on HWY 83 with shopping, Walmart, HEB, and medical facilities if needed. San Antonio is a 90 minute drive due east.

I am a 4th generation Texan who grew up in Houston but moved to Dallas in 1990. I first found and fell in love with the Frio River Canyon when I was a senior in high school when I went camping with my family at Garner State Park. I have been returning to the Frio my entire life bringing friends and family, my kids and grandkids to enjoy the splendor or the surroundings. I have worked in real estate, aviation, geophysics, and law during my working career and look forward to the day when we can retire at the Frio. The Frio adds years back onto your life that the stress of the world tries to steal from you. I finally got a little piece of this canyon 3 years ago and I want to share it with others.
