Sehemu
Camels Farm is situated on a beautiful clifftop setting on The Roseland Peninsula. 126 acres of unspoilt farmland, made up of rolling green hills, woodland, rivers and picturesque South Cornish Coastline.

Located down a private lane off country roads, offering a chorus of birds, friendly farm animals, beautiful wildlife and stunning coastal views.

There are gorgeous views across the fields and a short walk to phenomenal South Cornish Coastline.

Sleeps 7 via 1x kingsize bed, 1x double bed, 1x captains style single bed, and a room with 1x single bed and a single sofa bed.

The cottage is heated by night storage heaters, an open fire and wood burner with the first nights wood provided (additional wood available locally thereafter).

We have a small pet friendly garden and enclosed back courtyard.

For children there is access to a selection of body boards, beach and field games.

Guests have access to front garden area, (shared with myself, the host, for access), guests have sole access to a small courtyard space.

Beyond is a 5acre hedged field with small wooded area, river and wildlife. Guests can have access to various areas over the farm (within agreement), to walk through the fields, see deer, badgers, foxes and a myriad of wild birds and pheasants.

Guests can have the opportunity to stroke the ponies, fuss the sheep, chat to the cows or collect their own eggs for breakfast, on a prearranged basis.

Ufikiaji wa mgeni
Guests will be able to access many areas linked with the cottage. Access around the farm will be variable depending on safety with regards to stock rotation (presence of cows, sheep and horses).
The front garden is shared access to my (the host's) garden and home.

Mambo mengine ya kukumbuka
I have two young children, two very friendly dogs and one extremely friendly cat, who all are very social. My puss-cat will probably want to say hello and will often 'invite' herself into the cottage if given the chance!
The cottage is on a farm so there is a high probability that you will hear farmyard sounds at different times of the day- chickens, ducks, dogs, sheep, cows, horses etc.
All guest dogs need to be kept on leads when around the farm animals at all times, for both dog and farm animal safety.
We hope you enjoy your stay!

Veryan, England, Ufalme wa Muungano

The hamlet of Camels is set on The Roseland Peninsula, between two pretty villages, Portloe and Veryan. Both a 15minute walk or 5minute drive away.

Portloe is considered to be one of the prettiest villages in Cornwall, it is a working fishing village with fantastic coastal walks and views; Local Crab and Lobster can be ordered in advance from one of the local fishermen (weather dependant).

The village’s beauty has made it a popular film location over the years. In 1935 Portloe was chosen to shoot “Forever England” starring John Mills, a war story with Portloe doubling for the Mediterranean! Disney chose Portloe to film scenes for their 1949 version of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic Treasure Island. 1991 saw Channel 4’s “The Camomile Lawn” shot in the village and at nearby Broom Parc House. More recently it has been the base for the locally controversial TV series “Wild West” and the feature film “Irish Jam” and “About Time”.

The exclusive Lugger Hotel and restaurant is nestled right in the centre of the village at the top of the harbour slipway, The Church offers a lovely cream tea in the summer months and The Ship Inn dishes up Pub food and ale in a relaxed atmosphere.

Veryan is famous for its thatched round houses steeped in history and tradition. Veryan is most famous for its nineteenth century thatched round houses, five in all which stand at each end of the village and another in the centre.

Carne and Pendower beaches are within a 10minute drive or a moderately challenging scenic coastal walk; both beautiful, wide open beaches, with golden sands and panoramic views.

The phenomenal Cornish Coastpath can be accessed via a 2minute walk from the cottage in either direction.
