Pele's Eye is an eco friendly, off grid two story cottage, with a breath taking, mesmerizing, 180̊ sweeping view of the Pacific Ocean, solution to a worry free, quiet, adventurous getaway south of Naalehu. Situated on a 23 acres of rolling grass lands with no neighbors, no mosquitoes, no coqui frogs, no roosters to disturb ones well being. Pele’s Eye is a smoke free environment.

Large windows, beautiful painting and prints lacing the walls, French door leads out to a 10'x20' lani (deck) to enjoy the most beautiful sun rises, open expanses and night sky illuminating the milky way. Three steps to house from ground. Unique artistically designed private outdoor bath room is made of wood, glass and newly formed volcanic rock, two wall to wall glass windows over looking grass fields, mountains and ocean. The artist host/owner lives up above in studio home (the most southern studio in the USA) with separate entry way.

From the cottage one can walk, ride mountain bike, or 4 wheel drive down 2 miles to Ka'alu'alu bay a popular surfing and fishing place for the locals, 4 1/4 miles from Ka'alu'alu Bay to the most southern beach of the USA, Green Sand Beach, (2 hr magical walk from Pele’s Eye to Green Sand Beach) from there a mile or so to the jump off cliffs, an absolute must for the adventures types. One could also simply drive down South Point Rd to the cliffs or the parking place to hike into Green Sand Beach.

Few things to consider when booking Pele's Eye, 1 1/4 mile gravel rd, any car is fine, Jeep or small suv are better. South Point tends to be windy at times. there is wifi when owner is on site, you can spend more time with nature, Solitude, ideal for artisans and those who simply want a place to relax away from the rush of whatever.
