The Nest created as a getaway a sanctuary to Rest, Renew, Think, Reflect. I designed and Built the Nest in 2018 and put into service 2019. The Cottage has Old New England Charm with a Coastal feel. A nice cozy cottage to put your feet up after a day of site seeing and enjoying the Maine Coast. When traveling the accommodations you choose should also be an enjoyable special part of your journey not just a place to lay your head. The nightly price is for up to two guest

The Nest has a small kitchen with a Small 4 burner & oven Bertazzoni chef stove, refrigerator with an Ice maker, microwave, k cup coffeemaker, ground coffee maker and a French press coffee maker.
A farmers porch to enjoy your morning beverage while looking out over the pond and wildlife before you begin your day exploring or lovely to sit out on in the evening and gaze at the stars and evening sounds. Rain shower in master bath has blue tooth to play your favorite music while getting ready in the morning or evening. There is heat in the ceiling vent for your comfort when getting in and out of the shower or tub. Available bubble bath, creams, Loofahs, makeup sponges and more. ( I only ask that you use only what you need for your personal enjoyment while a guest so i can keep having them available for all guest,) The soaking tub is wonderful for mind body and soul. There are throw blankets to snuggle up with on the porch when a bit chilly. There are bathrobes to borrow during your stay med/ Lg and an x lg grey one. Also for she a set of silk bottoms and robe if needed during your stay. The cottage was designed with relaxation in mind an escape so there is a TV in Thew Living room only . There is a tiny room with two built in twin Daybeds and a room with a Queen bed . Life here is intentionally not centered around the TV has local news some additional channels and you can sign into your personal Netflix account ( just remember to sign out before checking out ).There are board games, cards and books for your use while visiting. For extended stay guest there is a washer and dryer in the cottage for your convenance you will need to supply your detergent. A phone for local calling for long distance you will need a calling card. Please let me know in advance if you will be traveling with a small child whom will need a play pen and or high chair so that i can make them available for you as these items are stored at my residence. Again please note that The Nest is not handicap accessible it was built for our family and we decided to share it . The Nest is Small so it can not accommodate assist equipment. The showers have a grab bar on the outside no grab bar inside shower. If you travel with an assist shower chair you are welcome to use it to help with that . ( shower chair must have rubber feet and guest must take care not to scratch shower glass and walls.) I have had a guest do so. I do not supply that because if it failed there could be an issue. Nightly prices is for up to two guest an additional fee per guest after two.

We live on a quiet road and a nice neighborhood. The sounds that you will hear are birds, crickets and peepers in the spring. You will quite often see deer and other wild life. We are close to Beautiful Sheepscott village where people quite often put their Kayaks in to go down the scenic Sheepscott river. There are wonderful hiking trails just up the Road and in surrounding towns.

I Believe where there is a will there is a way. I love all people and love interacting and learning about others. When i create spaces i do so wanting others to feel loved and welcomed. I start Everyday being accountable and want to be the best citizen, person, that i can . I want to give others the best of me and leave them feeling great about themselves. That is what gives me great joy the joy in others. My greatest joys are my family, friends and meeting new friends. I Love living near the coast and hopping in my car and taking a drive to Boothbay Harbor anytime of day to eat and shop or popham beach to walk and look for sand dollars. Often My husband and i will journey to Blue Hill or Bar Harbor for a long day. Take a ride along RT 1 to Kennebunkport and Kittery i love the Old New England architecture, shops, restaurants and just cruising in my car with my best friend my husband. I love The Beetles, BonJovi, Singer song writers, most all music from the 60’s thru today. I love dancing in the rain, friends around a fire pit, great food and having guest join us when able too. I Love sharing joy. I read a lot of inspirational books and what they call self help books always learning to be the best Mom, friend, person that i can be, books about History, Love, Life in the 1800,s, Non Fiction and Fiction. Books with heart. I usually read the last page before buying a book as i prefer to end on a happy note. I love westerns , political, and love stories for movies. I love working to please others. I am sensitive to others needs and will go beyond to make something right. I am thoughtful in my thoughts, actions and deeds and i hope and expect others to be and do the same. I enjoy interacting with my guest and try to be available for as much or as little as they wish. As soon as I receive a question or request I try to answer it or take care of the request immediately within my ability to do so. I may be away during the day on occasion from the property but respond immediately to any messages sent to my phone . I have tried to think of everything that will make a guest comfortable and self contained. There are extra sets of sheets, towels , toiletries. However if a guest is there for longer than 7 days if needed I come in with the Guest approval to do a light cleaning to remove trash, clean bathrooms and make sure of anything that needs care is seen too. My guest privacy and personal enjoyment of The Nest is utmost important to me. Good communication is how I know how best to accommodate you.
