There are several excellent local cafes, bars and restaurants within walking distance from the house and a convenience store stocking most essentials.
The very safe Pohara beach is a mere 100 metres across the road with the golden sands of Ligar bay and Tata Beach a few minutes by car.
There is also a 9 hole golf links within walking distance.
The locality is conveniently situated between the Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks with its many attractions and its unique fauna and flora.
