Our home is spacious and welcoming, located in very rural Adams County Ohio. This is a great stop off between big cities like Lexington, Cincinnati, and Columbus. This is a country setting with a large yard and large back deck. Guests that enjoy the outdoors will love the surroundings. If you have more travelers and need our other room as well, let me know so that I can unblock it for you (the site will automatically block it when this is booked and so must be manually changed). NO ALCOHOL

Our home is spacious and accommodating with a rural location where guests can relax, away from the noise of the city. Guests will enjoy their private room with a twin bed (a floor mattress is added when booked for 2+ guests) and a private bathroom. (We do have another room on Airbnb if you need additional space. Please contact me if you need to book both rooms since the site will automatically block it when one room gets booked.) As well as enjoying access to our large country kitchen, guests will have access to the deck overlooking the woods and creek. No neighbors are visible from this location. NO ALCOHOL PERMITTED.

Adams County is a beautiful, rural area of the southern Ohio River Valley. Our county is often visited for seasonal deer hunting and as a country retreat. The county and surrounding areas boast a small handful of historical sights and other attractions such as Serpent Mound, The Rankin House, and an Amish area. Nature lovers will feel right at home and city dwellers will get a much needed break. Please note that you will be in the country and there are sometimes animal/farming noises that we have no control over.

I am a high school Spanish teacher and my husband is a self-employed craftsman and historian. We love the outdoors and are interested in travel and other cultures. After a spontaneous hosting of a Swiss hiker on the American Discovery Trail (which apparently goes by our house, who knew?) we knew we were willing to open our home to other safe travelers. My husband and I live at this property and would be available throughout the stay. We can be as interactive or as hands off as the guests would like. We have had some guests hang out in the living room with us talking and others that choose to retreat to their room. Either way is fine with us. During the work week we are normally up by 6:15 a.m. Also: we have never had any issues with this but we do live in the country where there are sometimes animal/farming noises we have no control over.
