A love at first sight purchase that will surely make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. This beautiful house is situated in the heart of the lower Laurentians, nestled in between two lakes, on the shore of the river that flows between them.

Imagine yourself sitting in front of the roaring fireplace, listening to the sound of the flowing river and the birds nesting in the trees of the wooded property. Or how about a lazy day at the lakefront, dipping yourself into the pristine water when the summer sun works its magic on your skin? Equally rewarding is a day of snowshoeing or cross country skiiing on the frozen lake or surrounding woods, topped off with a glass of wine in the jacuzzi tub built for two.

The house is just as charming as its surrounding property, if not more. A true log cabin with all the comforts of a spacious house. Built on three levels, the upper floor is devoted to the master bedroom with a king size bed and en suite bathroom, including separate shower and jacuzzi tub. The main level boasts a huge open living room, which contains more windows than walls, and when you're ready for a view other than the surrounding woods, just pull down the screen, fire up the projector system, and enjoy 100 inches of HD (3D even) quality video that will make you feel like you're in the theater. Satellite cable included.

Additionally, there is a fully-equipped, charming kitchen with red ceramic tiling and a dinning room perfect for a meal à six, or eight, or ten...you decide. On this floor, you will also find a second bathroom with a claw-foot bathtub aligning the lovely round logs of the outer wall.

The lower level contains an additional three bedrooms, one which also functions as a den (equipped with cable television). Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds and one contains a double. An extra mattress can be added to the den to make this a double room. The laundry room and a third bathroom, equipped with sink, toilet and shower are also located on this floor.

The house is light, airy, peaceful and spacious. There is ample room for cooking, relaxing, playing, eating or even dancing if you should happen to feel so inspired. You'll find everything you need, including fridge, stove, dishwasher, washer, dryer, microwave, barbeque, cooking utensils, sheets, towels and the like. There are also several games and movies for your enjoyment (the bean bag toss is quickly becoming a favorite among guests). Come empty handed and take advantage of all the amenities, hand-picked with love.

Ideal for families, gaggles of girls, romantic couple-y getaways, groups of guys who want beers, bbq-s and fire pits. Perfect for anybody really! Come once, you'll be charmed enough to come back again and again and again. I promise.

Hello to all,

I am a half urban-half country girl living 6 months per year in the lovely, lively city of Montreal and the other 6 months in the calm, serene, cottage environment of the Laurentian mountains where I work as a wildlife biologist.

When not working, i spend as much time as I can traveling, and have recently moved from doing it hotel style to doing it house rental style. I am just as happy to rent out my home to travelers as I am to borrow someone else's homey space while I am away.

My ideal guests are respectful, responsible, easy-going people who want to enjoy the chill surroundings and country air of the beautiful lower Laurentians, while feeling like they are "at home".
