The property is early Victorian, situated on a really quiet street. The room is light and airy, south-facing with a king size bed and black-out curtains. The private bathroom is adjacent. Tea and coffee-making facilities plus TV, hairdryer and free WiFi are available.

A 5-minute stroll will take you into the beautiful Georgian town of Stamford, known for its wonderful shops and restaurants, and featured in the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and the film Middlemarch.
Particularly at the present time, I would like to reassure you that the bedroom, bathroom and dining room are for your exclusive use and the only communal areas are the hall and stairs.

The house is located on a quiet street with no through-traffic, within a few minutes walk of the attractive Georgian town centre with its many shops and restaurants. Burghley House, best known for the world famous Horse Trials, as well as many other events over the year, is also within easy walking distance. In addition to the beautiful house, the extensive grounds also boast a the Sculpture Garden and Garden of Surprises.

I am a retired teacher and live in a small town in rural England with my husband of almost 45 years. We are keen travellers and have been all over the world both backpacking when we were younger and with suitcases now we are older! We love experiencing new cultures, especially the food and the people. We have 2 daughters, one of whom lives in Guatemala, so for the past few years we have spent long holidays there and have totally fallen in love with the place. Now that we are retired we have the luxury of being able to holiday for longer periods of time and we love it! Our other daughter lives not far from us in Stamford so we are often able to spend time with her and her family.
I love reading, Netflix, gardening, salsa dancing and eating good food. We are both also trying ( but not very hard it has to be said!) to perfect our Spanish, however it's more challenging with an older brain. Hoping to learn more with each trip.
