Please fully read the description. I want to show you not the usual spots like Mondello, but very beautiful places I love. 3 amazing spots: 2 seaside bays and 1 river spot. We'll move along the North coast close to the town of Terrasini, snorkeling, relaxing and discovering the Mediterranean environment. The spots are rather ROCKY with a very clean blue and turquoise water. To finish the day we'll go to explore some natural hot springs along a river, relaxing in the warm water. This tour will be the best way to discover and enjoy the Sicily's seaside. It's up to the host (and conditions) to start the tour visiting a nice sandy beach. Lunch is around 1.30 p.m. with the possibility to eat traditional pasta with fresh fish, street food or ice cream (lunch not included). The time schedule is very elastic, according to needs and expectations, but it's also a RESPONSABILITY of each guest to be able to visit all the spots planned. In each spot WE'LL WALK to reach the spot and to return back at the car. Inizieremo la nostra esperienza di buon mattino incontrandoci presso "Porta Carini" porta d' ingresso di uno dei mercati più famosi della città, il Capo. Ci addentreremo lungo i vicoli del mercato, ricco di mercanzie, e qui compreremo tutto l' occorrente per realizzare insieme il menù da voi scelto. Tra le bancarelle ricche di merce , tra colori e voci si avrà l'impressione di stare in uno dei suk di una qualsiasi città musulmana. Visitare un mercato palermitano è un esperienza multiculturale, essi esprimono in pieno la cultura poliedrica e cosmopolita del palermitano. Finiti i nostri acquisti , ci avvieremo verso la mia abitazione, che si trova a pochi minuti da Piazza Politeama. Qui la nostra esperienza proseguirà con la preparazione dei piatti. Sotto la mia supervisione la mia cucina diventerà lo scenario della vostre creazioni culinarie. La cucina siciliana, ritenuta tra le più creative e scenografiche al mondo è strettamente collegata alle vicende storiche, culturali e religiose dell'isola. Dall'antipasto al dolce vi narrerò l' origine e la storia di ogni piatto, e questo sarà motivo di confronto e interscambio tra le nostre culture.

On a typical lesson day we meet in the morning at one of Palermo’s oldest markets, shop around for any items we will need for the lesson and then stroll to the air-conditioned kitchen in The Sicilian Pantry cookery school where we prepare a 4 course Sicilian meal, learning the techniques and tricks needed to recreate it when you return home. Meals are made up of a starter, pasta course, main course and desert (changes can be made for individuals with specific dietary requirements where appropriate). After the lesson we can sit down together to enjoy the fruits of our labour along with a selection of Sicilian wines rounded off with some homemade liqueurs and coffee. We believe that the true expression of Sicilian cuisine comes from the quality of its fresh seasonal produce so we strive to always ensure that we have the best of what Sicily has to offer in order to share this with our guests. This is an entertaining and informative day out, recommended for cooks of all levels. HIGH QUALITY EXPERIENCE INTO THE LAND'S LIFE The experience consists of a hike which crosses all the main spots of M.Pellegrino, "the most beautiful hill in the world" (according to J.W. Von Goethe). The route takes place within its natural reserve (A area), and crosses various ecosystems of vegetation like Mediterranean scrub, woods, a canyon, a natural pond and rocky areas. We'll visit the Sanctuary of Santa Rosalia, the Saint Patron of Palermo, with a church inside a cave. We can also have some snacks there around. It's very nice to watch the landscape, the city and the sea from above. IMPORTANT INFO: The hike is 11 km long and the ascent around 450m. The path is rather rocky so it could be challenging. This route is not easy but very beautiful, particular, some part are really into the wild, and even the majority of the locals don't know this way. I'll share my knowledge about the local fauna and flora, the geology, the information about the surrounding us nature and the history of the places we cross. A real treasure you can't miss if you visit Palermo and if you love to walk inside nature. Perfect to get a complete view and understanding of the city. Good walking skills are required, especially if you walk with normal trainers. I prefer if you wear a pair of treKking shoes. The experience last the time it needs according to the group needs and choices.

Mondello o Capo Zafferano EXPERIENCE La nostra Esperienza inizia alle 10 del mattino con l'appuntamento al molo presso la Marina Galizzi in via Filippo Patti a Palermo, dopo un piccolo succo di benvenuto, cominceremo la navigazione in direzione del golfo di Mondello o verso Capo Zafferano. Usciti dal porto potremmo issare le vele ed il comandante vi darà le nozioni base della vela. Durante la navigazione quasi alle falde di Monte Pellegrino vicino il porto dell'Acquasanta o in alternativa andremo verso Capo Zafferano, gli ospiti potranno vivere un'esperienza unica ed ammirare le nostre meravigliose coste. Giunti in rada nel mare cristallino, vicino alla riserva di Capo Gallo, gli ospiti potranno fare il bagno e poi degustare le nostre pietanze culinarie locali. Dopo un pò di relax si salperà per il rientro al pontile dove arriveremo intorno le 18. Durante la nostra esperienza sarà possibile pescare a traina grazie all'attrezzatura di bordo. We’ll end up this tour with a taste of our unique traditional street food (arancini, panelle, milza, etc.) and then we’ll return the bikes at our drop-off point at Discesa dei Giudici. Si proseguirà lungo il litorale sino alla borgata marinara di Mondello, con la spiaggia più rinomata di Palermo. Da qui proseguiremo verso la meravigliosa Palazzina Cinese.
