Cruxton Studio, an Idyllic Countryside Escape in Dorset

Tucked away amongst fields down a Dorset country Lane, Cruxton Studio is the perfect getaway. After an invigorating walk, return for tea and a homemade Dorset Apple Cake or simply sit outside and listen to the wildlife. Clean lines and soft tones create a fresh feel, while sweeping skies make it an ideal spot for stargazing. To view external images, visit the details of our other studio, Kingfisher Lodge. The studio is open plan and newly fitted with a very comfortable double bed, table, chairs, sofa, wardrobe, Smart TV, WiFi and very efficient heating. The kitchen is well equipped with an induction hob, multi function cooker/microwave and fridge. The bathroom offers a good size shower, wash basin, loo and heated towel rail. Outside there is a purpose built shed for coats, boots etc. Laundry package upon request. Guests are welcome to spend time by the river bank. Access is through a little gate with a willow arch further down the lane. The studio is independent to the house but I'm usually around if you need anything Cruxton is a small hamlet with a handful of dwellings. The river Frome meanders its way through the fields next to the studio. A mile down the lane is the village of Maiden Newton with its newsagent, fish and chip shop, garage, restaurant, and shops where locally sourced food and the 'Cook' range are available. The property is surrounded by beautiful countryside with walks and cycle rides straight from the door and the Jurassic Coast is only a 20 minute drive away. The accommodation is accessed by car although we are on the National Cycle Trail route 26 and Maiden Newton has a main line train station. Welcome pack includes home made Dorset apple cake or seasonal vegetables from the garden.
