• Meet outside Mercado de San Miguel, where you’ll receive all the materials you’ll need to get started. I’ll show you my own sketchbook to provide inspiration.
• Observe the market’s stunning ironwork, bustling stalls, and colorful displays, and choose compelling subjects to draw. I’ll demonstrate with a quick sketch, showing how to break down a scene into simple shapes and lines.
• Move around the market to capture fresh angles, textures, and movement. Gain insights into Madrid’s food culture, history, and the market’s significance while refining your artistic skills.
Our session wraps up with a drink and small 'tapa' as we share our sketches, and discuss the creative journey. You’ll leave with a deeper connection to the city’s culture, plus your sketches, a meaningful keepsake of your time in Madrid.
