We will try 6+ spectacular pintxos each paired with a local drink from 3-4 different establishments. We will create a custom pintxo tour for you, based on your personal preferences, and teach you how to identify and order the best pintxos on your own. Do a night out in San Sebastian like a local, led by me, a local man passionate about sharing our culinary culture. You will discover a unique sensory and culinary experience when you enter the door of a Basque's Secret Gastronomic Society in Old Town (members only private club) and taste our local cheese that come from a 500 years old Basque cider house. If we find more members at the kitchen during our visit to my Gastronomic Club, you can interact with them while they are cooking some local dishes. We dive straight into the culinary heart of the city for a night of eating and drinking unlike any you’ve ever experienced. From fresh prawns to line-caught baby squid to perfectly charred steak, the pintxo hunt changes nightly but always features a range of traditional spots and chic, avant-garde bars. Come thirsty, too, as we’ll be pairing each pintxo with the perfect pour, from cider to local whites and reds. We’ll start by enjoying “txakoli”(local white wine) at the oldest wine cellar in Old Town where you will know the secret of Txakoli wine, before heading into hidden side-streets towards 4 of the city’s most loved pintxo bars + foodie temples. I will teach you how to ‘throw cider’ into your glasses, how to choose the best pintxos, all the while indulging in some of the best pintxos and Basque finest wines. There is not a better overview of the local food scene

-I´ll show you ingredients from traditional Basque gastronomy and we will locate them geographically in the territory of the seven Basque provinces, so you can tour the Basque Country through its gastronomic culture. -We will cook and taste 6 of the most famous Pintxos of San Sebastián´s bars, while I tell you their stories, secrets and tips so you can cook like a local chef. They will be 6 bite "Basque tapas" that will include local ingredients as fish, pork, cheese, eggs, dairy products and vegetables. Dessert will include the original recipe of "the best Cheesecake in the World", from "La Viña" bar. It is possible to adapt the 6 pintxos for vegetarians, but because most of the ingredients in our culture are of animal origin, it is not a course suitable for vegans. Sorry. -We will set up a little stand with different props for you to take beautiful photographs of the Pintxos you've prepared, so you can share your experience and new knowledge with family and friends. We will go from 5 to 6 bars to ensure that you have tried everything Bilbao has to offer. We will walk around the city from bar to bar, discovering the basque cuisine, local pintxos and the most popular drinks as well. Even if you see 0 guest coming there might be people joining us from other platforms, don't be shy to ask about the tour or about different schedules. You will get to know the history of Basque language and the Basque people, differences between Spain and Basque Country and the past and present of Bilbao. I am very passionate about History and basque traditions, don't be afraid of making too many questions. I will adapt the route depending on if you are more eager to walk and see places or want to try more local foods. The bars and places we will see on this route are not the main touristy ones, I will bring you to special places for a different reason each. We will visit 5 BARS WITH 8 PINTXOS AND 5 DRINKS INCLUDED. - We will try the special pintxos, the ones you don't see on the bars! I will order them for you and the chef will make them instantly for you. (contacte por mensaje para acordar la fecha) *8:50 Salimos en tren desde Donostia-San Sebastian hasta Zarautz (sólo dura 30 minutos). *9,20 Caminaremos por la playa y respirar aire puro *Visitaremos el mercado rural donde degustaremos producto local como sidra, queso y dulce de manzana *Después pasearemos por la parte antigua con sus monumentos y leyendas y subiremos por la calzada romana que es parte del Camino de Santiago, parando en el Torreón de 1913 para disfrutar de vistas únicas y respirar aire puro. *Visitaremos una bodega de Txakoli familiar, que cuida con mimo sus viñas para obtener unos buenos txakolis de calidad *Continuaremos hasta el pueblo medieval de Getaria conocido por el txakoli y el pescado a la parrilla, maravilloso! If you are visiting Bilbao is very likely that you love wine, gastronomy and architecture. In this Bilbao day tour experience you will visit the famous Rioja wine region, two of the most beautiful wineries of Rioja and the medieval village of Laguardia (nothing to do with the airport in NY no worries ;) This tour leaves Bilbao early in the morning. The drive (1.5 hours) is beautiful as it crosses the green national park of Gorbeia and the impressive range of mountains of Sierra Cantabria Our first stop will be the Marques de Riscal winery designed by Franck Gehry and then we will head to the Ysios winery designed by Santiago Calatrava. Two fascinating buildings with SUPERB wines and avant-garde architecture. You will at least do the whole winery tour in one of them. You will taste at least 6 wines and learn everything about the Rioja wine making process, our classification control board, our grapes and our terroir! On top of that we will visit the magical medieval village of Laguardia, a lovely walled village with cobbled streets and stunning gothic churches. This town is devoted to wine and it has some of the most amazing views 360º over the Rioja vineyards and the range of mountains of Sierra Cantabria! For lunch you will enjoy some Riojano tapas with some local wine (it´s included in the price). We will drive back after lunch arriving to Bilbao at around 5pm!
